How to Batch Rotate Multiple Videos Automatically (Templates Included)
Whether you filmed videos with the wrong orientation, or you want to rotate a video to fit within a platform’s specifications (e.g. IGTV and vertical video). Without programming experience and batch-processing, this can end up eating into the valuable time. Luckily, we’ve made some templates that should turn this situation into a simple, quick, one-click process. You can find more templates here.
Once you’ve imported the template, you’ll be presented with the editor page, which allows you to make changes to a template. The blocks at the top such as ‘When a File is Uploaded’ represent steps in the workflow. This template rotates uploaded files and sends an email when complete.
Adjusting the Settings.
When you click on a step block, it reveals the settings you can edit. For this workflow, the core of the processing happens in the ‘Rotate Video’ Step, so you can go ahead and click that.
Choose from the rotation settings and hit save.
Run the workflow.
When saving is complete, you can start processing files by activating the Distro with the toggle. You’ll see an alert, after which, you can hit the play button.
Upload one or more videos to rotate them all in one go. Hit ‘Run’ and you’re set. You’ve made your own batch video rotator. In the future, all you need to do is hit the play and upload the videos you want to rotate.
However, if you want to automate this workflow further, one way would be to introduce watch folders. These allow you to simply drop the videos into a specific folder on your device (your laptop, phone, etc.) and have them be resized automatically without visiting the app. Here’s how…
That’s everything! Thanks for reading.
